Our goal for this project was to show the community within the University of Arizona. Thus, the photographs are mostly of people interacting on the university campus. Sometimes community is a formally organized thing as shown in the photo of the Family Weekend activities where everyone is there because it was planned ahead of time. Sometimes community interaction is more spontaneous like the students sitting in the shade out by the Union. Other times community is bigger than just a few people or a small location. I tried to capture this with the picture of “A” mountain and downtown Tucson. I was trying to show how the University and Tucson are so closely related. Neither would be the same without the other being there. Hopefully the pictures on the blog when taken as a whole help the viewer understand the community here at the University of Arizona.
